Dermal Fillers

Mid-face

The mid-face region is often the anchor of any facial aesthetic treatment. As we age, this area loses volume causing a flattened look under the eye. As a result, you will notice an appearance of unnatural looking lines around the nose. Clients often come to the office asking specifically to have their under-eye area or the nasolabial folds filled when in fact filing the mid-face and defining the cheek bone is the first, and often, only step necessary to yield the desired result.

Nasolabial Folds

This area is usually approached with a special micro-cannula that helps reduce bruising.

Frown/Marionette Lines

The goal of an aesthetic practice is to help make someone look well rested, more youthful and more refreshed. Filling “marionette Lines” which develop over time, has a transformative impact on a face. This is the single one cosmetic indication that was not present at a younger age. When lines become deep, these lines can be distracting and frustrating.

Temples

An often-neglected area of treatment. Many times, a patient is not even aware of how a hollowed region in this area will affect one’s overall appearance. This treatment has the benefit of also being in an area of lower mechanical demand. Filling the temple area can last 18-24 months and anchors one’s the overall appearance.

Jawline Defining

As we age, gravity often “gets the better of us.” There is an area right around the chin called the prejowl sulcus that develops a fuller appearance making a “jowl”. This issue can be minimized by injecting filler between the jowl and the chin to yield a more defined look.

Drooping Pierced Ears

Yes, you read correctly! Sagging, drooping earlobes affect how earrings sit on your ear. A quick, simple injection to this area will give a surprisingly rejuvenated appearance and you will be amazed at how your earrings suddenly look so much better on you.

Hand Rejuvenation

As we age the hands lose volume and show more wrinkles, veins and tendons. Using a micro-cannula, Dr. Strell will restore volume to this area with fillers to give you a more youthful look.

FAQS

What do I do before and after treatments?

Prior to treatment, eliminate alcohol for 3-5 days and stop any use of Advil or other NSAIDS. This will help minimize bruising and bleeding. If you are on a blood thinner for medical purposes, please discuss this with Dr. Strell and, if necessary, your prescribing physician. Taking Arnica Montana orally for 3-5 days prior to treatment may also help minimize any potential bruising as well. Post-treatment it is helpful to apply ice intermittently that day and evening and then sporadically over the next day or two.

What happens if my lips look too big the next morning?

This is not a usual occurrence and will settle down over the next couple of days. Using ice is important to help reduce any swelling. When the initial swelling subsides, your lips will likely not be any bigger than they were in the office at the time of treatment.
